#2 DRINK A GLASS OF WATER

Don’t reach for that cup of coffee just yet. Refresh your body with a glass of water.

#3 MAKE YOUR BED

In the military, part of basic training is learning how to make a bed. The military has standard operating
procedures for everything, including bed making. Making your bed, right after getting out of bed, set your day in forward motion.

#4 SELF-REFLECTION

Just ask yourself if today was my last day, would | want to spent it how I’m about to right now?

  • Tell yourself you will make the best of today.
  • Spend time alone with your thoughts. Either practice meditation or sit
    quietly for a few minutes.

#5 EXERCISE

.. Get your body moving, first thing in the morning and stay active throughout the day.

  • Take the dog for. a walk
  • Go for a jog
  • Take a yoga class or do any physical
    activity of your choice
