In this article, I want to discuss the use of reels: How I use reels to grow my brand on Instagram. About 2 years ago, I received an article from a former colleague on using reels, for Instagram growth. I read and even shared the article. However, I never myself followed the guide of the article.
Fast forward to January 2022, I was looking to spice up my Instagram in a big way. Taking notes from Tik Tok, I decided to flood my Instagram page with reels. On March 5, 2022, I started out very ambitious; 1-3 reels a day. Could I do it? I was very optimistic that I would stick to it and dish out great content for 30 day straight.
Prior to March 5th, I was on a long break off Instagram for a while so I wasn’t sure what would work and what wouldn’t. I went through my phone and looked at all my videos. I have nearly 3,000 videos in my gallery; 2,991 videos to be exact. That’s a lot of content just sitting in my phone, lying dormant. waiting for a revival.
I wanted to use an app called Coschedule to plan out all my posts but I took the lazy way out. I posted 2-3 times day, manually. I read the metrics on when my followers were most active and posted during those times. The thought of sorting through my videos and choosing was a daunting task to me. I felt that going through my videos daily would help me stick to my goals better.
